Dear delegates,
I’MUN distinguishes itself from other conferences with its crisis team, consisting of Masa Abu Ragheb and Celina Imseeh. I’MUN’s crisis is what makes the conference unique and different from others. During the debate, a completely unexpected crisis will arise, where the delegates will be forced to create solutions for this crisis in a limited time with no prior knowledge about what it is going to be. The fun in the crisis is centered around its challenging attributes, which pushes the delegates to go against their comfort, create calculated yet spontaneous solutions, whilst possibly working with a new group of people. The team will obtain extremely creative, hard working and entertaining skills which will guide the process to a successful and spontaneous debate. Additionally, all of the information about the crisis will be presented to the committee during their session, suspending the session until after the crisis period has been concluded. Moreover, the delegates will be provided with a crisis guide to navigate them through the process. The crisis team will not force the delegates to choose a particular solution, and will only intervene to make the debate as heated as possible with editing and tweaking ineffective directives that may halt the activity of the debate. Thus, their job as the crisis team is to insure that the debate is entertaining and fun for the delegates.
