Esteemed Presidents, Chairs, Delegates and Guests
The I’MUN ‘21 Secretariat team would like to express our utmost pleasure in welcoming you all to this year's I’MUN Conference.

My name is Samir Farraj and I am a junior at the International Academy - Amman. I have had 13 MUN Experiences prior to this as a delegate, chair and a president and I am honored to be one of your DSG’s for this year’s I’MUN. Being part of the Secretariat Team is normally reserved for seniors, so being selected whilst going into my junior year led to many challenges that I had to face in order to make this conference the best one yet. 

The theme of ‘A Political Pandemic’ truly resonates with all of us during these tough times that we experienced in quarantine and as a result of a complete worldwide shutdown; one none of us would have ever actually thought they would experience. Nevertheless, the I’MUN team has worked extremely hard in ensuring a personal and unique experience for each of our delegates, chairs and presidents.

​One aspect that makes I’MUN unique is the concept of ‘Fringes’ and ‘Fringe Committees’. The concept of taking the conventional MUN committees and putting a creative spin on it is what makes our conference stand out and really makes the I’MUN experience one to remember. Fringe committees are not the only staple of I’MUN challenging our delegates to apply MUN skills in current day situations as our crisis team has worked diligently on coming up with stimulating and engaging crises similar to which none have been seen before.

I would like to also take this opportunity to thank the entire I’MUN team, especially my fellow secretariats, and our Secondary Principal and MUN Coordinator Mr. Martin for giving us all this amazing opportunity to represent the school and create something truly incredible.
