Hello delegates, and welcome to IMUN’22
My name is Mariam Tabbaa, and it is of my utmost pleasure to be your president In the HCC committee.
The historical criminal court is one of the most vital forums, which works to achieve equality and justice, as well as penalize historical figures, some of which were perpetrators of the most heinous crimes to concern the international community. These infamous and controversial historical figures were wrongly sentenced and held unaccountable for their crimes in the past, which is why it is the role of the HCC to prosecute those who were not so innocent and defend those who were not found guilty. The HCC is all about unveiling old records and digging into the past to uncover some of the vilest atrocities committed by those who were admired by many. In the HCC justice is served and peace is restored.
I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you, as I have no doubt that you will all surpass my expectations and contribute greatness to this committee. I wish you all the best of luck and hope you find this to be an enjoyable experience.
