Dear participants,
I am honored to invite you to the tenth annual International Academy of Amman Model United Nations Conference (I’MUN), which will be held on the weekend of the 27th of October. I have been working for this position since 8th grade. An infinite number of resolutions, and a couple of chairing panel experiences later, I am now ready to make this IMUN as memorable as possible.

As we are living in the aftermath of a global pandemic, and on the brink of WWIII, many things have changed. The technological advancements were not halted by such events, day by day we are getting closer to losing the only thing we own, our thoughts. We are controlled by media more than we like to admit, We are led to believe things that aren't necessarily true. Do we allow ourself to forfeit our minds to these stakeholders? One of the many issues we will be solving in this years IMUN is regarding AI. Thus, i would like to present the I’MUN 2022 theme “Monopoly on Thought”. 

Alongside the traditional Model UN committees, I’MUN distinguishes itself from any other conference by implementing a committee known as fringes. Moving away from the conventional MUN style of debate, Fringe Committees are usually quite small, involve directives rather than resolutions, and focus on several crises instead of one large topic. Fringes allow for the delegates to experience an enjoyable and memorable conference unlike any other. 

We will also be hosting an online conference welded with our committees from the in person conference. This will allow delegates from all over the globe to join the conference and not in separate committees but in committees with everyone else through discord. There will be a member from the chairing panel present on the discord server at all times to ensure that online delegates are not at a disadvantage. Online delegates are also eligible for awards like any other delegate. There will be IT members present on the server to support you with any technical issues.
